MOM & HL V AFC BOOKHAM

Following a couple of very late withdrawals and no shows, Charlie was needed in centre midfield with Jindy. This proved to be success with Chaz putting in a “Gattuso” like performance, which can be roughly translated as he fouled a lot and spoke in an incoherent grumble. He also won this week’s MOM with 8 votes.

Apparently, very easy to confuse shops.

Apparently, very easy to confuse shops.

Nick Milne and Luke Newton (making his debut at centre back) picked up 2 votes each.

Jade hasn’t been down for a couple of weeks, but he made a storming return in Henri Leconte.

Firstly, he claimed a vote for claiming a “verbal assist”. What is a “verbal assist” you might ask? We’ve no idea either.

He “won” with a rambling Lonely Planets style review of Bruge. Having recently visited with his better half, we were informed that a 6 Euro hot chocolate claiming to be “the best in the world” – which actually wasn’t very good, that it could be very easy to confuse a toy shop and a sex shop and that he broke years of abstinence to drink 3 fruit beers.

He’s since pitched, “In Brugges 2” to his company and is waiting to hear.

In other votes, Charlie picked up a couple for another yellow and overtaking me in the card charts with 4. “Non-black boots” got a vote, after Marcus turned up wearing a couple of highlighters and Aleks turned up wearing a quilted pair. And finally, despite trying to take the clubs professionalism up to another level, Luke got a vote for “using cones during his goalkeeping warm-up”.
