Despite the atrocious weather and being left out in the rain for 45 minutes before the game, the conditions didn’t stop a wonderful game of football and a fine Albion performance. With the Albion, winning their “Marcus Lipton” cup first round tie 3-0. Such was the performance, with some fine passing football and an outstanding hattrick, the “Man of Match†was pretty straightforward.

Fifty Pence Piece : The shape of Stew’s head and also the highest transfer fee received by the Albion.
There were a couple of votes for “the whole teamâ€, exemplifying the huge amount of man love going on after the game. In joint second, with a solitary vote each were Richard whom was drew the following quote from Harry, “playing with the Richard was like trying on a pair of genuine imported Italian leather boots for the first time – it was an absolute pleasureâ€. Easy lads!
The other vote was for Duncan, sorry but no quote for you mate!
Unsurprisingly given his hattrick, taking his tally to 8 in 5, Harry Carlile walked this week’s MOM with 8 votes. Take a bow son!
With the conditions as they were and the amount of incident before, during and after the game this week’s “Henri Leconte†is a mixed bag.
Firstly, let’s address the weather related votes. “The guy from Lambeth Councilâ€, received a couple votes for leaving us and 50 odd others standing in the torrential rain for 45 minutes whilst presumably he finished his breakfast.
There was also a vote for Ross, who at this rate is going to be challenging Jade on a weekly basis, for continually moaning about the rain, before and after the match (and presumably most of the rest of the day to anyone that would listen).
A single vote was also cast for the unfortunate “rotund†left back whom upon coming onto the pitch spent most of his time sliding around in puddles or pulling people over. The ref also received a vote for denying two first half penalties and also disallowing a fine volleyed goal by Nick.
However, this week’s winner/loser was Stew for an attempted header which confirmed he does have a head shaped like a fifty pence piece. But to be fair it was from 10 yards out and he was unmarked and the ball landed straight on his head!
