Twigg: Man of the match
So this week’s man of the match. Couple of stray votes for Barny and Will. Coming an honourable second was Dave, but this week’s clear winner was Duncan Twigg.
Moving swiftly now to the Henri Leconte. Vilem picked up a couple of votes for his running battle with the referee over the positioning and quality of his shinpads. In second place, due to a split decision amongst voters, was Duncan who picked up votes for his 25 yard scorcher and for his ridiculous booking, where it seemed the referee was penalising Duncan for being too good at tackling.
However, although there was one fewer vote, the nominators were unanimous. In a Henri Leconte first – Nick Evans has become the award’s first in absentia winner. He secured the inglorious win by failing to turn-up citing an upset stomach which was in no way related to the big night out with the lads he’d told everyone about on his Facebook page.
