The Albion progressed through to the quarter finals of the Marcus Lipton Cup, winning 1-0 against South London Football Network.
Playing on a boggy surface and with the bear 11 after a few last minute drop outs, the Albion lined up with a back four of Luke, Stew, Dave Mc and Will S (combined age of 141). Despite this the Albion put in a resolute performance with some traditional defending and some fantastic goalkeeping by Walter. Both Nick’s worked tirelessly on the wings with Josh and Will C in the middle making the best out of an awful pitch finding many quality passes and some fantastic link up play.
Up top were Chaz and Bill providing us with a partnership reminiscent of the Henry and Bergkamp glory years. The Albion goal coming from a fine finish by Chaz, after one of his many marauding runs.
The Albion now face AFC Putney “B†away on the 21st Feburary.
