Not sure if the disappointing result was reflected in the response received for this week’s awards or whether everyone were collectively away on Monday/Tuesday. Either way in first place and still by some way, even considering the low mount of votes was Matt Garwood with 5 votes. Second was Will Carlisle with 2 votes, this despite being on the pitch for roughly a third of the game.
Michael surprised as everyone to hear Barker was a buftie.
Matt also had a reasonable showing in this week’s Henri Leconte. Giving Tooting Common squirrels something to think about even in the absence of Jindy. There were also votes for both Will C and Will S, for arriving late and wearing fishnet type socks respectively.
Notable mention should also go to the returning Bill, who whilst on a recent visit to the US of a had a bogus adventure of his own – a late night foray to witness the Spaceshuttle passing through (insert your own euphenism here).
However, the winner was the reigning champion and not someone to let the sun go down on him (although reading into his musical preference maybe a certain member of Wham!) – Jade. This week’s “win†was for Jade being unable to attend this week’s league meeting as he is going to watch George Michael in concert.
