ALBION LOSE TO WANDERERS

Thomas: Headed consolation

Thomas: Headed consolation

Albion went down to a 3-1 defeat against Westminster Wanderers, who were made to pay for a thoroughly dismal opening 45 minutes in a performance which was never better than poor.

A shocking start found Albion quickly 2-0 down. A corner wasn’t cleared properly and the ball was poked home from 4 yards. The second goal came following a good Wanderers move down the left wing. The pull was pulled back and well finished by the forward.

Albion’s performance in the second half improved, and in the final 20 minutes dominated the game. However, by then Albion had already conceeded a third and Don Thomas’s headed effort proved to be little more than a consolation.
