Mann: Putting players in the firing line

Jindy Mann will expose the players who floundered so miserably at the Buenner Cup in 2009 to the full hostility of supporters at this year’s competition.

The vast majority of the squad will have been involved in Albion’s repeated failure to recapture the Buenner Cup, though Mann remains adamant he can still lead the side to success at the competition this Autumn.

Mann said: “They have to take the booing. This is to respect the crowd. I hope it will pass after a short time because then I can bring myself on.”

Asked if he thought he and the players deserved to be booed, Mann said: “Yes, why not. We win together, we lose together. Three clubs offered me work. Important clubs – important in the Clapham and Balham area – but I turned the down because I want to stay here and try and win this cup.”
