Greensmith: Slammed FIFA
Albion players slammed FIFA after they confirmed that the controversial Jubalani ball will be used at this year’s Buenner Cup.
The new Addidas ball was widely criticised at the World Cup this summer. Players said it was difficult to control and moved unpredictably through the air.
Albion players critisims have focussed on how use of the ball will impact on the ever popular tour sport “Post Ball”. Albion legend Matt Greensmith said: “It’s a joke. You don’t know what it’s going to do in the air. It jags about, it’s impossible to get an accuracy.”
Greensmith added: “If you’re on the tertiary bench the ball’s in the air a long time. You’ve no idea where’s it’s going. What should have been a clean strike suddenly becomes a heavy towel. They’re going to turn Post Ball into a lottery.”
