The weekend’s game versus Southbank had little good, plenty of bad and even more ugly. To begin with the good and the MOM award for the game, in joint third were Nick, Joe and Harry all with a solitary vote.
In second with 2 votes was Matt. This week’s winner and following on from last week’s second place, with a worthy right back performance under difficult circumstances – was Jonny with 3 votes.
As the headline suggests there was plenty to discuss and vote for in this week’s Henri Leconte. The majority focusing on one or two “flash points†during the game.
There was a vote for Southbank as a collective for being classless, although I feel we shouldn’t tar the majority for the actions of a few.
In runner up place, if you want to look at it that way, was “Rocky†for a foaming mouthed rant at yours truly for a kick, which never happened, during a goal celebration. Quite why refresher mouth decided to get so worked up during a celebration beats me, although I do seem to have that effect on people.
The “winner†was the amoeba brained left back, who after earlier being sent off for a second bookable offence, returned to the pitch post final whistle to hit someone (I’ve a strong feeling it was going to be me) with his boot in hand. Finally, deciding in vain to throw the boot in my direction.
At time of print, it was still unconfirmed as to whether he’d removed the boot to confirm that his IQ was in fact lower than his shoe size.
