Having been away for the last game, running the poll for MOM and HL, allowed me very quickly to see what I missed. I surmise Matty G had an absolute belter and Machico were the Southern Sunday League equivalent of 11 Tom Daley’s without the budgie smugglers.
Machico – birthplace of Tom Daley, who was deemed not talented enough for inclusion in this week’s team.
In MOM, there were single votes for Alek’s, Walter and Simon who all came joint second. However, as noted in the intro, this week’s winner with a fantastic 7 votes was Matty G (even getting one begrudgingly off of his partner in crime Joey Clapham).
HL was as singular; there was however a vote for Simon’s appropriately seasonal hugely ripped jeans – still a student at heart.
The overwhelming winners were Machico collectively for a variety of votes, all essentially pertaining to the same conclusion – they are a bunch of drama queens with the diving/play acting. There was a booking for diving and the collective team for rolling around on the floor after every tackle, although this could have been an attempt to flatten the bumpy pitch.
