Last week’s awards, longer overdue than a Duncan Twigg haircut. Congratulations to Aleks, whom making his competitive debut for the Albion secured his and the season’s first “Man of the Match” award. Voting could have been swayed by Aleks’ willingness to take over Clapham Common field duties from the Slaternator.
No, not what you think. Although it did involve getting down on his hands and knees – and also made him gag. Aleks showed a willingness to participate in the dirtier side of the game – by picking up a pile of crap in the goalmouth. Early reports as to whether this was a dirty protest on the part of Dave McPhee or indeed that “Little Geoff” had a day visit to the common are still unconfirmed.
