Albion moved into the second round of the Surrey Cup with a comfortable win over Sutton Knights.
Albion took the lead in the first half when a deflected shot from Dan beat the keeper and went into the bottom of net. However, the teams were soon back on level terms when one of Sutton’s rare attacks gave their forward the chance to loft the ball into the net.
However, the Albionisti were soon back in charge when Don was put through on goal by Steve and finished past the keeper who’d taken up a perculiar position to one side of the goal. The lead was extended when Steve turned from provider to poacher and lashed one in from 18 yards.
Albion who had been dominant in the first half failed to come out in the second, finding themselves spending large portions of the half defending. However, when Albion got their passing going they always looked threatening and a lovely run down the left by Vilem set up Don for his second of the match. Final score Sutton Knights 1 Albion 4.
