During the cold war the head of US air force General Thomas Power once quashed criticism of the human cost of war by saying that he’d consider it victory, if after nuclear armageddon, there were two Americans and only one Russian.
The same can be said of MOTM award for the game against AFC Balham. The winner of that game’s man of the match award with the grand total of TWO votes were Jindy, Rich, Dave and Dunc. Runners-up were Steve and Will with one vote each. They may statistically be the worst ever man of the match winners, but nevertheless well done gents.
There was a similar lack of unanimity in the Henri Leconte votes. I can’t be bothered to write about the others as they’re too boring, but the winner is Dave’s dad who showed that we signed up the wrong McPhee by demonstrating a superb piece of one-touch control on the sideline and killing a punted clearance. Rumour has it he even has a left foot. Jade, sign him up!

Me, Dave, Steve and Will – combined age close to 150. The rest of you should be ashamed…
