Thomas: Man of the match
Dramatic scenes in this weeks man of the match award. Will and Jade both picked up a vote for their performances. However, the award looked like it was going to be shared this week by Don and Dunc. But a late vote by Dunc for Don resulted in ‘the black salmon’ taking the prestigious honour. Informed of his decisive vote Dunc said: “I’m not in it for the personal glory it’s all about the team for me.” Bless the lad.
As for the only fractionally less prestigious Henri Leconte award there were plenty of entries. The Donfather was nominated for his primal scream after bagging the winner. Stew for the chemical hazard he left behind in the Frimley Park club house toilets. Vilem for telling the ref he shouldn’t have awarded Albion the free kick the winner was scored from. Will for managing to keep his knees clean on muddy pitch.
However, the ultimate winners were Jade and Nick who were both nominated for their part in another away game navigational meltdown. Not the least of which were several nausea inducing orbits of Surrey roundabouts. Well done boys.
