Evans: Moving in with Mann
Albion bad boy Nick Evans has been ordered to move in with his team captain Jindy Mann.
The unusual move comes after another infraction of club discipline by the player. Evans failed to seek authorisation before overtaking manager Jade Barker when in convoy to the Surrey Cup game against Watchetts. The flagrant breach of away game travel discipline was compounded when he failed to take the correct exit off the A3, resulting in a lengthy diversion along Surrey b-roads.
Club officials hope that Evans new domestic arrangements will help reform a player who has been a persistent trouble maker. Albion Ultras unhappy with Evans commitment to the club had tried to make their displeasure known by setting fire to his car. Unfortunately the hooligans burnt out the wrong car which was left to smoulder outside Evans Clapham flat.
Albion’s Mann is seen by figures within the game as the ideal role model for the errant Evans. The management consultant is understood to have broken the news to Evans telling the player: “If we’re going to do this, it’s just you and me. No women, no stress buster mini breaks. It’s just you, me a pile of chinese takeway and a couple of fvck off spreadsheets.”
