Palac: Captain Morgan sustained damage
For the match against Southbank only a handful of players shared the votes. Nick, Stew and Barny all picked up support. The Ginger Prince was in second, but the clear winner was Andy McCue for his performance in midfield.
The Ginger Prince’s hot streak in the HL came to end this week as he failed to pick up any votes. Among the nominations were Bill and Southbank skipper recreating the famous confrontation between Stuart Pearce and Basil Boli. Jade for letting the team know that Albion icon Danny Dyer was feeling depressed because of what he’d read about himself in the newspapers.
Stew was also nominated for complaining that the referee failed to give a corner following his crunching tackle on the Southbank forward. Clearly a undeserved goal kick was no reward for a tackle of that quality. Nick was also nominated for attempting to replace Jindy as Clapham’s premier squirrel assassin. Vil picked up support for nearly having his Captain Morgan split in two and screaming like a girl [NB – Vil’s email says dinosaur, but that didn’t sound like T-Rex to me]. However, the winner was Ron Large for sporting his new Ginger Prince hair dye, and making up the rules to football as he ref’s a game.
