There was further disarray to Albion’s planned assault on the 2010 Buenne Cup today, after David McPhee pulled out of the squad citing World Cup fatigue. McPhee’s close friend and spokesperson, Sebastien, confirmed his withdrawal. “After the World Cup, he’s so tired. All that lager and Bodeans really took it’s toll, even massages haven’t helped. I’m a bit surprised though. He’s normally so energetic and it’s unusual of him to pull out so late.”
Buenne Cup Spielfuhrer, Jindy Mann, was nonchalant at the news. “We had someone else lined up for the Dave Role anyway. He was third or fourth choice.”
The revised Buenne Cup squad is the smallest in recent memory and features only two of the current League squad – both of whom are injured:
Jindy Mann (SF)
Will Slater (Vize SF)
Matt Greensmith
Jason Hewitt
David French
Gordon Clark
John Calahane
Craig Matthews
On standby:
Vilem Palac
Greg Williams
Dimitri Karpinski

I said I’m cutting my holiday short to be in Germany. Why am I on stand by? By 26th aug, I’ll even be over 30 years old to be ‘eligible’ for your vets team.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dimitri playing for an opposition team.
