Albion started their new win with a hard fought 3-2 win over Southbank at Clapham Common.
The Albion took an early lead when Southbank’s keeper could only parry a long range effort from Rich, and Ralph was on hand to bundle the ball over the line from close range.
The game then settled down into a well contested midfield battle. And it was from here that Southbank found their way back into the game when one of their players broke from the middle of the pitch and slotted home into the bottom corner from outside the area. However, Albion were able to hold a narrow lead at half time when Rich ran on to a through ball from Don and finished from a narrow angle.
The second half continued much in the same vein with the game being mostly fought out in midfield. Southbank had been restricted to few chances but were suddenly given a lifeline when they converted a disputed penalty. However, Albion were not to be denied and when Southbank failed to deal with a near post corner Dan was on hand to turn the ball in from 4 yards for Albion’s winner.
