Barker: "As bent as a nine bob note"
Albion are set to offer a trial to Ghanian starlet Samuel Nketia.
In an impassioned message via the Albion website the 24 year old striker issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Albion after struggling to get a game in Ghanian football. The player said he was keen to sign for Albion citing corruption in his home country where local officials have to be bribed before you can sign for a team.
However, the deal could fall apart because of Albion’s unusual financing where players pay a weekly bribe to manager Jade Barker in order to get a game. A club official said: “We’ll expect a fiver off him like everyone else. In cash, a used note or coins. We don’t want anything that can be traced.”
