Mann: Named most experienced squad ever<\/p><\/div>\n

Jindy Mann has named Albion’s\u00c2\u00a0most experienced squad ever for this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s assault on the Buenner Cup. The nine man squad is made up entirely of players with previous experience of the prestigious international tournament.<\/p>\n

For the first time ever no debutants have been selected. Mann has turned to members of Albion’s much derided “golden generation”\u00c2\u00a0due to the repeated failure of new players to adapt to the unique demands of the Buenner. Mann has concluded that only veterans of previous tours are able to cope with the massive alcohol consumption, sleep deprivation and ritual humiliation.<\/p>\n

The squad contain two survivors of Albion’s tournament winning side of 2000. The reliance on players in their mid-30s has been called into question by some observers within the game. However, Mann defended the selection saying: “You can’t buy the kind of tournament know-how that’s in this squad. Whether it’s debating globalisation in the nude, playing strange farm based games at\u00c2\u00a0Wolf Creek, or negotiating brutal hangovers these players have proved themselves.”<\/p>\n
