However, in a statement issued by the club, Barker maintained that Carlile was actually 43 years old. The allegations come after recent claims that Lazio\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 17 year old Cameroonian wonder-kid was actually 41, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/0\/football\/26162408\">charge dismissed by the Italian club<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an exclusive interview with this website Barker said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been accused of a lot of things in my time, but never signing a player under 30. I like my players on the mature side \u00e2\u20ac\u201c just like my women.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll not deny he looks young, and that normally you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d expect a man of his years to be able to actually grow a beard.
