After drawing 0-0 with the league leaders, who’d previously scored 28 in 7, the defence was always going to figure highly in the week’s awards.<\/p>\n

For “Man of the Match”, Jindy took third place with a vote and in second\u00c2\u00a0was Stewart\u00c2\u00a0with 2 votes. However,\u00c2\u00a0first was a three-way tie between last week’s winner Walter, right back Pat and centre back Aleks.<\/p>\n

For “Henri Leconte”, there was a vote for Jindy for, “skiving out of the nets by wrestling a couple of corner flags of notorious net erection-evader James”. First time Jindy has ever “evaded an erection”.<\/p>\n

The referee also received his\u00c2\u00a0customary vote, as too Jade, this time for “breaking his crutches”. Not too sure whether this happened or is a euphemism for something which might happen in the Clapham Common bushes.<\/p>\n

However, receiving 7 votes (including\u00c2\u00a0 voting for himself) was Walter, who decided to leave it to the last possible moment to arrive at the pitch for kick-off.\u00c2\u00a0Leaving the rest of us\u00c2\u00a0shitting ourselves, some of us literally.\u00c2\u00a0And I might add, once arrived decided to discuss how late he was with the watching Don rather than getting changed and in goal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
