Barker failed to see the sign as was distracted whilst changing over his “George Michael – The Hits” CD’s.

This week’s MOTM award was tighter than the back of Stewart’s shorts. In third place, proving that you can go from Henri Leconte to hero in a week was Will with 3 votes. Not too sure whether it was the first half left back performance or the second half goalkeeping performance which swayed the votes.

Second was Simon with 5 votes, for a high energy and red faced dynamic display leaving the exhausted Simon hobbling around the centre circle deliriously yapping “I’m knackered mate!”

But in first place (and now on for his hat-trick) was Johnny Hobson, piping Simon to first with 6 votes. Take a bow son! A constant thorn in Poplar’s side and slotting away the winning penalty, Johnny continued his impressive form and also showed us how much more northern he sounds when angry.

With a few weeks out of the Henri Leconte offering, it was time for a monumental return from the gaffer – picking up 13 votes this week was Jade.

All together now and repeat after 3 – “A3 – A308 – A307”, “A3 – A308 – A307”, “A3 – A308 – A307”. Unfortunately for Jade and the following Steve, this was quickly forgotten and led them both arriving with 20 minutes to go before kick-off and the rest of the team having to change out of the away kit and into the home kit which was in Jade’s boot.

There were also a few votes for a rather dapperly dressed individual, who shall remain nameless.
