 “Henri Leconte†can be consolidated into, Walter for his last minute defensive header which prevented a certain goal. Duncan received a couple of votes for somehow winning a free-kick despite sledging the opposition striker in the box.
AFC Putney received a couple of votes, one for kicking the ball into Rich’s face whilst he was “recovering†from a late tackle and their striker received a vote for asking a sub to film his free-kick – which he duly despatched into the top corner.
“Winner†was the Slaternator with a typically aggressive comment, “get a man and get down the back of his shortsâ€. Which might have explained why Dave was asking if he could begin the game playing on the right wing for AFC Putney.
