MOTM AND HENRI LECONTE

Palac: Man of the match

Palac: Man of the match

We have a man of the match first in this week’s award. The squad seemed genuinely divided about who should be this week’s worthy winner. Don and Nick each picked up a vote. Stew, Andy and Dunc all picked up two votes. However, the wide array of nominees across the squad allowed Vilem to win the man of the match award with an all-time low of three votes. This makes Vilem the worst ever man of the match. Stats don’t lie.

Voting for the team seemed easier in the Henri Leconte award though. Bill picked up a vote for shouting “Good D” throughout the game, and Lambeth Council for messing up the pitch booking. But the runaway winners were Jindy and Will for both missing the Valentine’s weekend game for the second year in a row despite being single.

I had such a lovely weekend though. It was… magical.

I’d like to thank all of my team mates, injured and fit ones, and the gaffer for making that special effort to get down to the common last Sunday. Also thank you for excellent support during the game, I wouldn’t win this without you. Especially thank you to The Dunc, stand in left back. Dunc defended, won tackles, won headers, passed the ball, took excellent throws and even went on his rampaging runs down the line to support me. His general defending and attacking ability were unheard of for an Albion left back. His overall effort allowed me to attack, attack and attack. Albion’s left side has never been more dangerous!
